Measure the bar length and check how it connects to the lock before ordering, because these differ between cabinet makes.
A file bar runs the height of the cabinet and drops into the drawer catches when the lock turns. Where a cabinet locks at the top but not lower down, the bar is usually bent or disconnected rather than the lock being faulty. Replacing the bar is often cheaper than replacing the cabinet.
