Groupe Lacasse Core Removal Keys

Groupe Lacasse core removal keys, also called control keys. You use one to take a lock core out and put a new one in, without taking the cabinet apart.

This is not an operating key. It turns past the normal stop and lets the core slide out.

Removable cores exist so that changing who can open a lock does not mean pulling the lock out of the furniture. One Groupe Lacasse control key serves every lock on the same system, which makes it the most security-sensitive key in the building. It should not live on the same ring as the keys it controls.
