Measure before you order. The barrel has to pass through your drawer front or door, and barrel lengths are not interchangeable.

A cam lock is the quarter-turn cabinet lock you see everywhere. It is a round barrel through the door, a flat arm called the cam on the back, and a nut holding it in place. Turning the key swings the cam behind the frame. Measure from the back of the door face to where the cam needs to sit, and check the cam shape while you are there.
