Check the front of the lock for the code, with the top drawer pulled clear. Reading codes lead with letters, so copy the prefix along with the numbers.

A Reading toolbox lock usually secures every drawer through a single locking bar, which is why one key opens the lot. If some drawers open and others do not, the bar is jammed rather than the lock being wrong.
